Overview
Leads give you one place to collect and review potential customers before treating them as active sales opportunities.
You can create leads manually, import them from a CSV file, or collect them through a public enquiry form.
Create a Lead
To add a lead yourself:
- Open CRM > Leads
- Select Create
- Choose the business that owns the lead
- Enter the name and any available company, email, phone, source, and notes
- Save the lead
Add a source such as referral, website, or event when you know it. Consistent sources make the lead-source report more useful.
Import Leads From CSV
Open CRM > Leads, choose a business, and upload a CSV file from the import form.
The file must include a name column. It can also include:
company_nameemailphonesourcenotes
Use one lead per row and keep the first row for column names. The maximum upload size is 2 MB.
Use the Public Enquiry Form
To collect enquiries through a shareable form:
- Open CRM > Settings
- Enable Public enquiry form
- Save the settings
- Copy the public link shown below the setting
- Add the link to your website, social profile, or customer communication
The form asks for contact details, a message, and consent to be contacted. Submitted enquiries appear as website leads for the correct business.
Disable the setting when the form should no longer accept enquiries. The public link will stop opening while it is disabled.
Assign New Leads
CRM settings provide two lead-assignment strategies:
- Default owner assigns new leads to the business owner
- Round robin distributes new leads across eligible team members
Choose the strategy that matches how your team handles new enquiries.
Merge Duplicate Leads
When Pricefic finds another lead with matching contact details, the lead page shows it under Possible duplicates.
Select Merge to keep the current lead as the primary record. Useful notes from the duplicate are retained, and the duplicate is marked as merged rather than presented as another active lead.
Review both records before merging because a merge represents them as the same contact.
Qualify or Disqualify a Lead
To qualify a lead:
- Open the lead
- Enter an opportunity title and expected amount
- Add an expected close date when known
- Select Qualify
Pricefic marks the lead as qualified, creates or connects the customer, and creates an opportunity in the Qualified stage. If Create a follow-up when qualifying leads is enabled in CRM settings, it also adds a follow-up activity.
If the lead should not progress, enter a reason under Disqualify lead and select Disqualify. Keeping the reason makes the decision understandable later.
