Overview
Timesheets let employees submit work periods for approval.
The current workflow is intentionally simple: creating a timesheet submits it immediately, and approvers review the submitted timesheet from their inbox or from the team timesheets list.
Creating a Timesheet
To create a timesheet:
- Open More > Attendance
- Select Timesheets
- Select Submit Timesheet
- Enter the period and work entry details
- Submit the form
After the form is saved, Pricefic creates the timesheet and immediately submits it for approval.
Why There Is No Draft Flow Right Now
Pricefic does not currently have a draft or edit-after-submit flow for timesheets.
This keeps the workflow clear for small teams: submitted timesheets go straight to the approver, and the approval history remains easy to understand. If a timesheet is rejected, the employee can review the decision and submit the corrected work period again when the workflow allows it.
Manager and Team Owner Approval
When a timesheet is submitted, approvers receive an inbox item.
Approvers can open the item to review the timesheet, then approve or reject it. The same submitted timesheets also appear in the Team Timesheets view for users who have access.
Approved and Rejected History
Timesheets keep their status after a decision.
The team timesheets page lets approvers filter team timesheets by pending, approved, rejected, or all statuses. Employees can also see their own submitted timesheets and the final status.
Viewing Timesheets After a Decision
Approvers can still open timesheets after approving or rejecting them from the team history.
After a decision, the approval inbox item is archived because it no longer requires action. The timesheet itself remains available from the timesheets page for users who have permission to view it.
Related Attendance Workflow
Attendance and timesheets are related, but they are separate workflows.
Use attendance to clock in and clock out during work. Use timesheets when a work period needs to be submitted for approval.
